i'm sorry, but this is *not* a combobox. a combobox combines a selectbox with a text input field. these widgets are extensively used in desktop apps like filemaker... you can see an example here: http://www.extjs.com/deploy/ext/examples/form/combos.html

OnChange function is not triggered for the first change it is so annoying as users will think it is not working at all, but It works fine after the first changes. Test on all browsers with the same problem

What happened to the development of this plugin? It's been a year since the last version, it's not working with the latest jQuery (1.3.x)... Any ideas how to fix it? Where is the author of it? This is the only jQuery combobox plugin that actually works on the Internet...

Hi, I tried to use "disable=true" en el Select Control. I'm using a DropDownList ASP.NET Control y I wrote this code:
dropdownlist.Enabled = false;
or
dropdownlist.Attributes.Add("disable", "true");

And none of them works. I was seen the html code generated and your javascript create a DIV instead a SELECT control...So this functionality is disabling a DIV Control?

A use that I can think of for a socket listener (and I would use SilverLight if it could support it) is that of implementing a pattern where a stream needs to be pre-processed before passing it onto a MediaElement. A good candidate for this is a media stream that contains both meta-data and mp3. The meta-data needs to be filtered out before passing on the mp3 content to the MediaElement.

I have debugged this problem together with flameeyes. The settings is ignored
because the init script does not start as user tor but root, then the tor
process switches its user context to tor without informing PAM to raise the
nofile limit.
Extending the init script to start as user tor is possible by removing the
line
"User tor" from torrc(.sample)...but now this prevents tor from starting as it
checks for file permissions and thinks it is started as root while the data
directory is owned by user tor. So I still have to check who is the culprit.
